Licences and Permits
Carrying paying passengers in Türkiye requires specific documents, and it is reasonable to ask whether a company has them. Our company, Coşar Turizm Taşımacılık İnşaat ve Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti., holds TÜRSAB licence A-11345 and a D2 passenger transport certificate, and each of our vehicles has passenger seat insurance.
What Is the TÜRSAB Licence?
TÜRSAB is the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies. Our registered agency licence is number A-11345, and it places the company under the consumer protections that apply to licensed agencies. You can check the number with TÜRSAB directly.
What Is the D2 Certificate?
The D2 is an authorisation from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure that permits a company to carry passengers commercially on unscheduled, pre-booked road journeys. It is what separates a licensed operator from a private person taking money for a lift.
What Insurance Covers Me?
Each of our vehicles carries compulsory motor liability insurance and commercial passenger seat insurance, which covers each occupant for the journey. Compulsory traffic insurance alone is not passenger cover, so this is a fair question to ask any operator.
What Must Each Driver Hold?
These are legal requirements for professional passenger drivers in Türkiye. We keep the records on file at our Beyoğlu office. Read more about our drivers.
- An SRC professional passenger transport certificate
- A current psychotechnical assessment
- A clean criminal record check, renewed on a fixed cycle
Can I See These Documents?
Yes. Ask us on WhatsApp before you book, and we will share a copy. The documents page lists what is available.
Why Is It Worth Asking?
A licensed operator is answerable for your journey. It has a registered name, an address and a certificate number that you can check, and you know whose insurance applies if something goes wrong. Ask any company you are considering for these details, including us. A straightforward operator will not mind the question.
