Our Drivers
Your driver is a salaried employee of our company, with a contract, social security registration, fixed working hours and mandatory rest periods. Drivers are not paid per journey. That removes the reason to rush you to your hotel or to resent a late flight, and it means we know exactly who is collecting you.
How Are Our Drivers Chosen?
Each driver needs at least five years of professional passenger driving, a valid SRC certificate, a current psychotechnical assessment and a clean criminal record check. They then pass a road assessment with our operations manager on the roads that matter here: the airport approaches, the coastal route at rush hour, and the narrow streets behind Sultanahmet.
What Should I Expect From My Driver?
- Waiting at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name
- Company identification, which you are welcome to ask to see
- Help with loading and unloading your bags
- A direct route to your address, with no other passengers
- A calm drive, with no pressure to make up time
Do Your Drivers Speak English?
All of our drivers work in English. Some of the team also speak Arabic, Russian or German. If your trip needs a particular language, tell us when you book, and we will do our best to arrange it. Our WhatsApp desk replies in English and Turkish.
What If I Have a Problem With My Ride?
Tell us straight away on WhatsApp at any hour, or afterwards by email at info@istanbulairporttaxiservices.com. Because the driver works for us and the car is ours, there is no third party to blame or to chase. We can look into it directly.
What Will a Driver Never Ask of You?
If anything like this happens, tell us at once on +90 533 770 29 14. It is against the way we work, and we want to know about it.
- A higher price than the fare in your written confirmation
- To share the car with another passenger
- To change your drop-off address to a different hotel
- To hand over card details at the roadside
