Where to Find a Taxi at Sabiha Gökçen
Sabiha Gökçen Airport says round-the-clock taxi service is available. After baggage claim, go to the arrivals level and follow the taxi signs to the rank outside the terminal. If you have pre-booked with us, you can skip the rank, because your driver waits at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name.
What Should I Know About This Airport?
Sabiha Gökçen is in Pendik, on the Asian side of Istanbul. That matters more than anything else about your taxi. If your hotel is also on the Asian side, in Kadıköy for example, the ride is fairly short. If it is on the European side, in Taksim or Sultanahmet, your taxi must cross the Bosphorus, and the crossing is often the slowest part of the trip.
How Long Will the Taxi Take?
| TO | USUAL TIME | OUR FARE (VITO) |
|---|---|---|
| Kadıköy | 35–50 minutes | €90 |
| Taksim | 50–70 minutes | €90 |
| Sultanahmet | 60–85 minutes | €90 |
| Beylikdüzü | 70–95 minutes | €125 |
What Should I Ask Before Getting Into a Rank Taxi?
- Check that the meter will be used, or agree any fixed price before you leave
- Ask whether Bosphorus tolls are added to the fare
- Have your address ready, including the district
- Keep small change or check that a card can be used
When Is Booking in Advance Better?
A long ride across the Bosphorus at a busy hour is where a metered fare is hardest to predict. With a fixed fare, the traffic costs you time but not money. See our Sabiha Gökçen Airport taxi page for every district.
